CHARLIZE THERON has been named the sexiest woman alive by Esquire magazine.
The 32-year-old South African star follows in the footsteps of stunners JESSICA BIEL, ANGELINA JOLIE and SCARLETT JOHANSSON.
Theron, who won an Oscar after making herself ugly for the film Monster, is celebrated in the magazine's November issue with a sexy photo shoot.

Charlize, who will next be seen in the anti-globalism drama The Battle for Seattle, directed by her Irish boyfriend and Head in the Clouds co-star STUART TOWNSEND, used the magazine interview to take a swipe at the US government.

"I grew up in a country that learned the lesson that you can't impose your way of life on 26 different kinds of people just because you call yourself righteous," she said.

"I think there are lessons this country still has to learn."
